Douglas has distinguished himself as an experienced Lead Pastor with a demonstrated history of serving in churches and religious institutions. He is skilled in non-profit organizational leadership, public speaking, biblical preaching, teaching, motivational speaking, theology, discipleship, pastoral counseling, mentoring and volunteer management.
After forty-one years of authentic ministry service, Rev. Dr. Frank W. Douglas has distinguished himself as an experienced Lead Pastor with a demonstrated history of serving in churches and religious institutions. He is skilled in non-profit organizational leadership, public speaking, biblical preaching, teaching, motivational speaking, theology, discipleship, pastoral counseling, mentoring and volunteer management. Dr. Douglas is a resilient pastoral leader with both a Masters of Arts (M.A.) degree in Religion and an earned Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) degree in the Leaders of Leaders Program in Pastoral and Christian Ministry Leadership, from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in biblical studies at Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Douglas is a business graduate with three diplomas in business management; accounting; finance and a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm.) degree in accounting and finance from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.
The variation in his theological education and praxis of ministry, qualifies Dr. Douglas to engage in academic teaching and scholarship and practical pastoral theology, such as pastoral ministry leadership and counselling. He is an ordained and licensed Religious Official or Minister of Religion who is legally authorized by the Province of Ontario, Canada to solemnize marriages. Dr. Douglas is a licensed Approved Teacher with the Evangelical Training Association (ETA), in Wheaton, Illinois, USA. In addition, he teaches as an adjunct lecturer in the Ministerial Development Training (MDT) consortium between the Church of God of Prophecy (COGOP) and Oral Roberts University.
Dr. Douglas has faithfully served in the roles of a Youth, Associate and Senior Pastor totalling twenty five years. He has served as a member of the Corporate Board of Directors for the COGOP of Canada for eleven years. Currently, he serves in the national administration of the COGOP in Eastern Canada as a Finance Committee member to the National Bishop’s office. For over twenty six years he has served as a public servant in various professional roles within the Government of Canada.
Understanding the relevance of ministry to various demographic groups, in a beyond post-modern world, he is adept at extricating the timeless truths of Scripture through preaching and teaching, making these biblical truths applicable to the modern worshipper. A gifted, anointed preacher and teacher of God’s Word, Dr. Douglas’ philosophy of ministry is rooted in a high view of God; a resolute conviction Scripture is the source of understanding and worshipping God and a passionate love for all peoples; who are created in the image of God. An accomplished minister of the Gospel, he is an adult conference speaker; a youth and children conference speaker; facilitator in pastoral counselling for couples; empowering singles to live out their destiny; church ministry development trainer; missions, evangelism and outreach trainer; a social justice and community development facilitator; inspiring people to answering the call of God to vocational and marketplace ministry; among other ministry concentrations. With academic training in natural sciences, humanities, psychology, social sciences, business, biblical studies, systematic theology, practical theology and pastoral counselling, Dr. Douglas has the requisite qualifications and professional skills necessary for current marketplace ministry and senior executive leadership in the global Church. He is an avid reader who enjoys cycling, swimming and stand-up comedy. Dr. Douglas is married to Jacqueline Cornwall-Douglas for thirty one years. They are parents to three young adults, Joshua, Jeremy and Kimberly.
